Who pays medical bills

Who pays for my car?

FLORIDA IS A NO-FAULT INSURANCE STATE

It is important to understand that Florida is a “no-fault” state when it comes to car accidents and the question of liability. This ultimately means that those injured in a car wreck may pursue a claim with their own insurance provider via their personal injury protection (PIP) to recover compensation for medical bills.

If the other party was cited or otherwise caused the accident. Their insurance should pay to repair your vehicle as well as pay for a rental car if needed. If you don’t need a rental car they will pay for loss of use of your vehicle. You are entitled to your car being repaired, rental car reimbursement ,loss of use and diminution of value of your car.

Diminution of value is the difference tween a car that has not been in a accident and one that has been in one. For example If my car was worth 10000 the day prior to the accident but now because it has been in a accident it is worth 9000. The diminution of value to my car is 1000. You should also seek this compensation from the at fault party’s Insurance carrier because you will not have to pay your deductible to get your car fixed. But BEWARE they will want a recorded statement before they authorize a repair. That is why you should consult an attorney first so they can’t mislead you with their questions. At Nardi and Nardi an Attorney is present if any statements are necessary.
